THE Production TEAM supplied technical staff to the QNCC in Qatar for the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC (COP 18) and the 8th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol.

With more than ninety separate spaces, hosting anything from six to two thousand four hundred delegates, all requiring a full AV package, in addition to ensuring that presentation packages and the equipment was ready and queued when needed, was a massive undertaking.

THE Production TEAM’s technicians were tasked with ensuring that all the lighting, sound, AV and broadcast facilities were at their peak performance and able to be televised to the 104 broadcast networks that required feeds as well as the delegates. There were over 1000 presentations to delegates throughout the conference.

More than 100 technicians were provided by THE Production TEAM from all over the world to facilitate the technical needs and language requirements for COP18 alone. We utilised the skills of construction managers, production managers, lighting designers, sound/AV/Lighting technicians, Polycom operators, stage managers, simultaneous translation technicians, patching technicians, recording managers, riggers, media managers, event planning managers and crew. The TEAM was on the ground for two months installing, operating and de-rigging COP18, receiving great praise for their hard work, dedication and professionalism by the QNCC, delegates and speakers alike.
